GOLD

Gold is a precious metal that is known as the safe haven asset par excellence, as it never loses its value or wears out. To measure the quality of jewelry, we must distinguish between two units of measurement. Karats (karat), which express the purity of gold, and carats (ct), which indicate the weight of diamonds or precious stones.

DIAMONDS

Diamonds are the most sought after and most used gemstones for jewelry and specifically for engagement rings. Here we summarize important terminology to answer the questions you may have when buying a diamond.

ARELANA DIAMONDS VS. LABORATORY DIAMONDS

Laboratory or synthetic diamonds appear to have the same physical appearance as naturally mined diamonds and are considered man-made replicas.
diamonds and are considered to be man-made replicas. They differ in the following ways:

-The natural diamond is one of a kind, no two are alike.
-The laboratory diamond is not considered a luxury item.
-A laboratory diamond loses value when it leaves the laboratory and has no resale price.

COLOR

The color of the diamond is classified according to the GIA scale, from D to Z, according to the most colorless and therefore more precious and more valuable, to the least colorless and therefore less precious.

At Arelana we ensure the best quality at the best price, that is why we offer color H, a shade that is practically transparent

CLARITY

The size of the diamond’s impurities and imperfections determines the clarity classification.
